Our principal objective is to develop a network centre and research school
in the area of real estate and facilities management, capable of providing
high quality education and knowledge for dealing with and for solving
problems of strategic value for real estate owners, proprietors, facilities managers
and developers, contractors and users. This includes to develop and establish a new master study in
Real Estate and Facilities Management at NTNU, and to establish a doctoral
programme with 5 candidates in Real Estate and Facilities Management. The
Norwegian Centre for Real Estate and Facilities Management perform the
foundation for a network between education, research and practice in the
area of real estate and facilities management in Norway, with universities
in all of the Nordic countries and in Great Britain, the Netherlands and
in the USA.
Establishing the centre is done with support from the Research Council
of Norway through the project "Metamorphosis 2005 - Real Estate and Facilities
Management." This project is sustained by NTNU in the period of 2002 -
2006, in cooperation with several trade organisations, public and private
organisations in the area, research institutes and ministries.

KoBE
Kompetanse for Bedre Eiendomsforvaltning
|
After the support from the
Norwegian research council ended at the end of 2006, Kompetanse for Bedre Eiendomsforvaltning (KoBE) have become an important economical supporter. KoBE have given
support to the following activities:
- Coordination of the Norwegian
educational curriculum in FM.
- To accomplish a FM research
conference in Trondheim (07.12.2006),
a day for FM networking activity (12.04.2007), development of a FM
course for the Norwegian Municipalities (first time taught
24-26.10 and 21-23.11 2007).
- Producing of booklets in FM. Two booklets will be published in 2007, and additional to booklets
will be published in 2008.
- Pre-project to prepare a new
educational offer for
the strategic level in Norwegian
municipalities.
- research project about the
maintenance cost and technical condition in Norwegian Municipalities.

These activities covers most at
the activity in the centre at the time.
In addition our four private partners: Rambøll, Multiconsult,
Statoil and OBOS are giving us yearly financial support.
